Internship Overview: As a Legal Intern, you will play a crucial role in our Legal Department, working alongside experienced Legal Counsels. This internship is designed to provide you with hands-on experience and insights into banking law, corporate transactions, and regulatory frameworks in an international banking environment..

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and organizing finance-related legal documents such as guarantees, letters of credit, and facility agreements.
  • Conduct legal research on EU and Dutch financial regulations, banking law, and regulatory changes.
  • Support the Legal Counsel team with transaction processes and compliance-related matters.
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as Risk, Compliance, and Finance on legal and regulatory issues.
  • Help monitor developments in EU and Dutch prudential supervision and assist with internal updates.
  • Provide general support on administrative and organizational tasks within the Legal Department.

Job requirements

Who We're Looking For:
We seek interns who embody the following competencies:

  • Being enrolled as a Law student (Master’s or advanced Bachelor’s) at a Dutch university for the entire period of the internship.
  • Experience and strong interest in banking law, commercial law, corporate finance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong time management abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages is an advantage in our international context.
  • Basic data analysis and research skills, with the ability to draw meaningful insights.
  • Strong presentation skills to convey findings and recommendations effectively.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Languages: Proficiency in multiple languages is an advantage in our international context.
  • English: full professional proficiency (required).
    Dutch: native/bilingual (preferred).
