Internship Overview

Our Global Trade Services Department is looking for a proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented intern to join the Credit Services Chapter. You will work alongside experienced professionals and support the operational management of various lending products while developing a solid understanding of credit operations, documentation, and transaction processing.

This internship is designed to help you build the practical knowledge and professional skills required for a future career in banking and credit operations.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Here's what you'll explore:

  • SSupporting the administration and monitoring of corporate loans, syndicated facilities, mortgage products, and other lending transactions throughout their lifecycle.
  • Assisting with the review of credit agreements and transaction documentation to ensure completeness and compliance with internal procedures.
  • Learning how credit facilities are structured and how loan documentation is translated into operational execution.
  • Supporting the processing of loan utilizations, repayments, interest settlements, amendments, and rollovers within the Bank's core banking systems.
  • Assisting with the execution and administration of syndicated loans, trade finance facilities, structured finance, Islamic finance, and financial institution transactions.
  • Supporting payment processing, reconciliations, and operational controls while ensuring timely execution of transactions.
  • Monitoring transaction milestones, outstanding conditions, and follow-up actions throughout the life of the facility.
  • Collaborating with Front Office, Operations, Risk, Finance, Compliance, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient transaction execution.
  • Supporting investigations and the resolution of operational exceptions, payment queries, and transaction-related issues.
  • Learning how regulatory, compliance, and operational risk requirements are applied within lending operations.
  • Contributing to process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency, automation, and operational excellence.
  • Ensuring adherence to the Bank's internal policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
