Within ING, Wholesale Banking is catered to our Corporate Clients to which we provide a full strategic product offering: specialised lending, tailored corporate finance, debt & equity market solutions, sustainable finance solutions, payments & cash management, and trade & finance services.



As part of the Corporate Sector Coverage NL team you engage in strategic dialogues with CEO, CFO and Treasury teams of the largest multinational corporates (revenue >€250m) in the European market.


As an Intern in the Corporate Sector Coverage NL team you will gain knowledge through working on projects alongside senior relationship managers, analysts, sector teams and specialist product teams to provide our clients with a full spectrum of products (lending, capital markets & advisory, financial markets & transaction services).

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform (financial) analyses on clients, sectors, and peers in an international environment
  • Responsible for collecting client/sector information and analysing this information for solution offering processes
  • Active participation in the preparation of financial models and client pitch books
  • As part of a deal team, originate and coordinate new business, monitor profitability and assist with the realisation of the teams and clients’ objectives
  • Build relationships, knowledge and experience that will open doors to future career opportunities within ING

Through an internship in ING’s sector team you’ll have the opportunity to get to work in a leading European institution, a dedicated sector team and the solutions it provides. You get to experience what it is to be a full-time corporate banker.

Job requirements

We are looking for an ambitious young professional who is keen to contribute to further strengthen our leading position in the European market. The ideal candidate has strong analytical and communication skills and is able to deal with a broad range of stakeholders at various seniority levels. You are result oriented, proactive and have the ambition to come up with solutions.

What Do We Ask

  • Enrolled in a (University) Bachelor‘s degree, and/ or Master’s degree during the time of internship
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong interest in financial services
  • A reliable team player who is highly motivated and eager to learn
  • Positive team spirit
  • Excellent verbal and written skills both in English and Dutch
  • Display honesty, prudence, and responsibility as part of the ING Orange Code
