Job description

We are seeking a commercially minded Market Intelligence Data Analyst to strengthen our Market Intelligence and strategic planning capabilities within the Trade – Commercial department.

In this role, you will act as a bridge between data, markets, and trading decisions, transforming complex market information into actionable insights. Your work will support spot and futures market monitoring, international trade flow dynamics, and price formation, across dairy and non-dairy commodities.

You will work closely with traders, commercial managers, and controllers to develop and maintain a robust market intelligence framework, identify trends and seasonalities, assess market risks and opportunities, and support both short-term trading decisions and mid- to long-term commercial planning.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and continuously improve market intelligence databases covering supply, demand, pricing, trade flows, stocks, and macro indicators for dairy and selected non-dairy commodities, translating movements into commercial implications for trading and planning.
  • Identify seasonal patterns, structural shifts, and emerging market signals that impact sourcing, sales, and risk exposure.
  • Support commercial and trading strategy through scenario analysis, price outlooks, and structured market views.
  • Prepare market intelligence materials to support Key Account Managers and commercial leadership, ensuring alignment between market conditions and customer strategy.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in International Business, Economics, Finance or a related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in related positions
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Tableau or similar BI tools is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of commodity markets, including spot pricing, futures markets, and import/export dynamics.
  • Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
  • Collaborative working style with the confidence to engage with traders and commercial stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to work confidently with large and complex datasets.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to translate data into clear business implications and strategic insights.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, trading-oriented environment.
