We are looking for an Junior Commercial Barge Terminal Optimizer (fulltime) to join our Commercial Terminal Optimization team. Within this team you will be collaborating with colleagues in our Hamburg office. In this role you are, together with your direct colleagues you are responsible to continuously optimize the supply schedule within our Group.

Responsibilities

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Process information about stock, demand, production, fleet, terminal constraints, supply, market structure and margin
  • Flag and discuss with team on spot transport (charter/rent in and out)
  • Optimize Logistics to realize stock targets, optimize margin and fleet utilization
  • As we operate in a 24/7 business we participate in a duty schedule outside office hours
  • Collaboration in the team and throughout the company

Job requirements

In order to fulfill the role the ideal candidate meets the following criteria:

  • MBO degree or higher preferably in the commercial or logistics area
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in a similar role preferably in the oil industry

  • Hands-on/can do attitude
  • Team player: flexible, energetic and able to perform in a rapidly changing environment
  • Creativity and innovative capacity to constantly find solutions
  • Stress resistant
  • Strong communication skills Dutch and English (fluently), German would be appreciated on B2 level
  • Self-driven and proud to take ownership
