Internship Overview: Our Trade Finance Services Department seeks a proactive, detail-oriented, and ambitious intern to join our team. You'll thrive in a supportive environment that fosters personal growth and values initiative.

Responsibilities

Here's what you'll explore:

  • Understanding the purpose and contents of Letters of Credit, standby LCs, and bank guarantees.
  • Handling import and export letters of credit, standby LCs, and bank guarantees—advising, issuing, and amending them.
  • Scrutinizing documents presented under import and export LCs, addressing discrepancies, if any.
  • Processing various types of LCs—back-to-back, transferable, and revolving—alongside incoming and outgoing assignments.
  • Managing incoming and outgoing documents under documentary collection.
  • Overseeing invoicing and monitoring fees for standby LCs, import and export LCs, collections, and guarantees.
  • Facilitating payments, managing related messages, and conducting investigations for risk release and file closure purposes in trade finance products.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards (UCP600, ISP98, ISBP, URDG 758) for clients, LCs, and documents.
  • Adhering to the bank's compliance policies and taking necessary actions.
