Internship Overview: Our Trade Commodity Finance Department seeks a proactive, detail-oriented, and ambitious intern to join our team. You'll thrive in a supportive environment that fosters personal growth and values initiative.

Responsibilities

Here's what you'll explore:

  • Assisting Account Officers: You will support account officers in their daily tasks related to commodity finance. This may involve helping them prepare documents, conducting research, and organizing information.
  • Data Analysis: You may be responsible for analyzing data related to market trends, and financial indicators. This analysis will help account officers make informed decisions regarding commodity financing.
  • Documentation: Commodity finance involves various legal and financial documents. Your role may include learn to prepare and review these documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Risk Assessment: Commodity finance carries inherent risks. You might assist in evaluating the creditworthiness of clients and assessing the potential risks associated with financing specific commodities.
  • Relationship Management: you will observe and learn how to build and maintain relationships with clients and other stakeholders is crucial in commodity finance. You may support account officers by helping with client communication, coordinating meetings, and providing general assistance in client management.
  • Market Research: You might be responsible for conducting market research to identify potential opportunities and risks in the commodity finance sector. This research can help account officers stay updated on industry trends and make informed decisions.
  • Financial Analysis: You may assist in financial analysis tasks, such as evaluating financial statements, cash flow projections, and assessing the financial viability of commodity-related projects.
  • Administrative Support: Interns often provide general administrative support, such as managing schedules, organizing meetings, and maintaining files and records.

Other responsibilities:

  • Assist the TCF Team with their day-to-day activities and special projects.
  • Engage in bank wide (TCF) projects.
  • Provide hands-on support in through- and output regarding TCF processes and execute various administration relating to TCF flows.
  • Provide assistance to TCF staff in delivering an effective added value in realizing their business goals.
  • Assist in identifying, developing and implementing improvements to TCF systems and procedures to enhance efficiency.
