Job description

The Category Sourcing Analyst II will perform moderately complex analytics and market intelligence activities for the organization. In this role, you will research data, market information and trends. You will create and maintain modeling tools and systems and analyze data and interpret and execute strategies and share best practices.


Location

This position is open to candidates based in Wayzata, MN, or Wichita, KS, and offers a hybrid work environment with a minimum of three (3) in-office days and up to two (2) remote days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct advanced category and spend analysis using internal procurement systems and external market data to generate actionable insights that inform sourcing strategies and cost optimization.
  • Design and develop more complex analytical modeling tools and systems.
  • Conduct more complex analysis requiring a general understanding of data management and analytics data design principles, concepts and practices.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience designing tools and reporting that support category strategy documentation, initiative tracking, value realization, supplier performance visibility, and risk management.
  • Ability to synthesize complex data and provide a recommendation to create actionable insights.
  • Previous strategic sourcing/procurement experience.
  • Demonstrated financial, mathematical and modeling experience.
  • Experience using AI to demonstrate data-driven decision making.
  • Experience using SAP.
