We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Graduate to join our Commodities, Food & Agri Sector Team of Wholesale Banking.
The responsibility of this team is to provide financing solutions and advisory services to our clients and our way of working is in very close cooperations with other departments of the bank, leveraging our sector expertise and network.
As a Graduate you will be involved in transactions which have a large impact on our clients. You work closely together with team members in Madrid and other locations, and with various product specialists across ING. Your main tasks consist of:
For business development activities: (a) drafting marketing materials including pitch books and presentations, (b) detailed analysis of targets including potential financing structures, and (c) market research and competitor analysis.
For transaction execution activities: (a) financial modelling, rating and credit analysis, (b) reviewing due diligence reports, (c) day-to-day process coordination and communication with relevant stakeholders, both external (clients and other advisers) and internal (corporate finance, syndications, legal, risk, compliance), (d) assisting in the drafting of transaction documentation, and (e) processing of documents for and managing internal credit approvals.
Portfolio management activities and monitoring sector information and collection of market data and trends.

The ideal candidate should be an ambitious professional with a Masters’ degree with above-average academic grades and previous experience in banking, financial services and/or strategic consultancy (including internships).
The candidate should have sound financial analysis and problem-solving capabilities; and excellent speaking and writing skills in Spanish and English is a must. In addition, we expect the candidate to have the following key personal skills: (i) hard worker with ability to drive multiple activities in parallel; (ii) attention to detail and delivery of top-quality documents; (iii) ability to work collaboratively across functions (team player); and (iv) enthusiasm and ambition to learn.
The candidate should show genuine interest in the Food, Beverage and Agri sector and have the ability to earn trust and respect of clients, colleagues and senior management.
